Most asthma types and symptoms relieved by proper indoor air filtration
The main two asthma symptom types are classified as intermittent asthma and persistent asthma. The asthma type classified as extrinsic asthma is caused by an immune system reaction to inhaled allergens like dust, dander, pollens, plant and mold spores, and dust mite particles. The asthma type classified as persistent asthma is not allergen related but caused by inhalation of chemicals such as cigarette smoke, cleaning agents and solvents, as well as many other substances lurking in the air of our homes and buildings.
Other recognized asthma symptom types include:
Nocturnal Asthma – An asthma type, which affects sufferers mainly during the early morning hours.
Bronchial Asthma – a type of asthma characterized by breathing difficulties and wheezing initiated by the inhalation of an allergen.
Exercise Induced Asthma – a type of asthma initiated by exercise either during exercise or shortly after causing shortness of breath or wheezing.
Occupational or Industrial Asthma – develops shortly after beginning a new employment caused by the inhalation of chemical fumes, fruit fluff, animal dander, sawdust, dust, and a myriad of other substances present in the work environment.
Seasonal Asthma – an asthma type initiated by the release of pollens from flowering plants generally worse during the summer months.
Silent Asthma – a type of asthma characterized by little or no warning with very little wheezing and may be life threatening.
Cough Variant Asthma – an asthma symptom type identified by a persistent and irritating cough.
Chronic severe corticosteroid-dependent asthma – severe asthma type requiring continued treatment.
Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis – a type of asthma initiated by an immune response to the presence of fungi in the lungs.
